There are moments during recruiting that really make the long days worth it all...

Had a kid come in about two weeks ago that had just completed his GED...he was working at McDonalds and had heard that he could make the military a career...he needed to score a 50 on the ASVAB (all GED’s do for Active Duty)...he took the practice test and scored a 42, afterward he told me that he wanted to study because he was confident he could get a 50...we brought him back a week later and he scored a 39 on his next test...to make a long story short, he came in this morning ready to go to MEPS and enlist into the Army Reserves (GED’s only need the minimum for AR) but was hopeful he would score over 50 so that he could join Active Duty...well, I just found out he scored a 54!!! This kid was determined and made his dream come true!!! I’ve never been more proud of a future Soldier than I am now, success is as easy as you make it and even a little determination will take you a very long way!!!

Although this page is dedicated to Army Recruiting, I must make this post about our home in Victoria, TX and the other places affected by ...my family just moved there back on August 11th 2017, my wife and daughters fell in love with Victoria the moment they arrived, mainly because of the great people there...I was really looking forward to coming into the experience, and still am...it's unfortunate that nature can be a bit harsh at times such as our current one...but I am confident the city of Victoria, Houston, and the many others that were hit will recover and thrive when it is all said and done...I pray for every single family that was affected and I pray that your spirits are not broken over this...the U.S. Army community and the many others of Victoria will be together again soon, working together to rebuild, restore, and resolve our problems TOGETHER as a team...it will be a challenge, but one we will not run from nor give in to...TOGETHER WE WILL RISE AGAIN!!! Stay safe out there guys and God speed!!!
