🚫🔥 Burn Ban In Effect Immediately for Victoria County 🔥🚫

Victoria County and much of Texas are currently experiencing elevated fire weather conditions due to dry vegetation, low humidity, and strong winds. These factors significantly increase the risk of fast-spreading wildfires.

Out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of public safety, the Victoria County Fire Marshal is recommending the enactment of a county-wide burn ban until conditions improve.

While some rainfall is forecasted next week, current conditions remain unfavorable for outdoor burning. Even small fires can quickly become dangerous under these circumstances.

We urge all residents to avoid any activities that could create sparks until further notice.

Protecting lives, property, and our volunteer firefighters is our top priority. We appreciate the community’s cooperation in helping reduce wildfire risk across Victoria County.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone that came out last weekend for our Annual BBQ and Auction. It was a great success. We cannot continue to serve without the support of our friends neighbors and community. An event like this is also relies on our volunteers and chairmen/chairwomen who put in countless hours of preparation. We appreciate all of the donations from local businesses and individuals We also appreciate our auctioneer Justin Anderle and all of the spottors; our 4-H volunteers JR Perez and his cutting crew; Richard Castillo and Toni Stithem. I apologize if I have left anyone out. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you again same time next year.
