From virtual fencing and satellite-connected livestock monitoring to soil mapping and remote water management, new technologies are giving ranchers more options. Understanding what is available and what may work for a particular operation can be a challenge.

The Ranching Technology Summit on Sept. 2 will bring ranchers and technology developers together for practical conversations about how these tools are being used in real-world operations. The free event is hosted by the National Ranching Heritage Center in conjunction with the Texas Tech Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.

The program will include EarthOptics, Grassroots Carbon, Enriched Ag, Cibo Labs, Ranchbot, Nofence USA, CERES TAG, AgriWebb, Halter, CattleMax, Datamars, Vence, Breedr, C-Lock Inc. and STgenetics. Sessions will cover soil health, pasture management, water and infrastructure, individual animal and herd management and supply chain optimization.
