What an incredible week of learning and leadership at the TEPSA Summer Conference!
Torres Elementary was proudly represented by Mrs. Hildebrand and Mrs. Gerhardt as they joined educational leaders from across Texas to learn, collaborate, and gain new ideas to support student success. Throughout the conference, they attended sessions focused on leadership, school culture, student achievement, and innovative practices that will benefit the Torres and our VISD community.
Mrs. Hildebrand was also honored to be recognized as the Region 3 TEPSAN of the Year. Congratulations, Mrs. Hildebrand! 🙌🙌
We are excited to bring back new learning and fresh ideas as we prepare for another great year at Torres Elementary.

Just because school is out doesn’t mean kindness takes a vacation!

This summer, I’ll be sharing a weekly Counselor Corner Challenge with simple ways to help our Tigers stay kind, connected, and growing all summer long.

🌟 Week 1: Kindness Challenge 🌟

Can you complete 5 acts of kindness this week?

✅ Help someone without being asked
✅ Give a compliment
✅ Write a thank-you note
✅ Share with a friend or sibling
✅ Call or visit a family member
✅ Hold the door for someone
✅ Make someone smile

Kindness doesn’t have to be big to make a big difference.

🎓🐯 Celebrating Excellence at Torres Elementary! 🐯🎓
We loved having our families on campus to celebrate the hard work, growth, and achievements of our Tigers during our Awards Ceremonies! 🌟
From academic success to outstanding character, our students have worked incredibly hard all year long, and it was a joy to recognize their accomplishments alongside the people who support them every day. ❤️
Thank you to our parents, families, and staff for partnering with us to encourage, inspire, and celebrate our students. We are so proud of each and every Tiger and all they have achieved this year! 🎉📚🏆

🎉🏡 Our final House Party of the school year was one to remember! 🏡🎉

Our Torres Tigers had an amazing time celebrating the character traits that make our school and community stronger—💪 Perseverance, ⭐ Responsibility, ❤️ Integrity, 🦁 Courage, 🤝 Accountability, and 🇺🇸 Civic Duty.

Students enjoyed fun games, house chants, dancing, and special recognition for classmates who consistently demonstrate outstanding character. 🎖️👏

We are so proud of the leaders, role models, and future citizens we are helping grow each day at Torres Elementary! 🐯💙 Thank you to our staff and House Leaders for making this year’s House Parties such a success.

A special congratulations to  East High School graduates this evening. We loved seeing some of our old tigers walk the halls for the last time. As we say, “Once a tiger, always a tiger!” 🐯

🐾💙 Torres Elementary Student Council Gives Back! 💙🐾

A huge thank you to our Torres Elementary families, students, and staff for supporting our Student Council pet supply drive! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate a variety of much-needed items to Victoria County Animal Services.

Our students learned the importance of compassion, community service, and helping those who cannot help themselves. We are so proud of our Student Council members for leading this effort and making a positive impact on the lives of local animals.

Thank you to Victoria County Animal Services for all they do for animals in our community, and thank you to everyone who contributed to making this project a success!

🎉 Tomorrow is our End-of-Year Parade! 🎉

We look forward to celebrating our amazing students with all of you! 🐯☀️

Please remember:
• If you would like your child to wear sunscreen and/or bug spray, it must be applied before coming to school tomorrow.
• Please make sure your child arrives on time, as the parade will begin promptly at 8:15 AM. We don’t want anyone to miss the fun!
• 🎟️ Raffle tickets will be sold prior to the parade beginning. If you missed out on our raffle sale this month, please bring cash to purchase tickets tomorrow morning!
