🚨 MAJOR AUTO THEFT BUST | $1.8 MILLION RECOVERED 🚨

A months long investigation by the Riverside Auto Theft Interdiction Detail (RAID) led to the discovery of an active chop shop in Norco, the recovery of approximately 50 stolen vehicles and vehicle components valued at more than $1.8 million, and the arrest of two suspects.

This successful operation highlights the continued commitment of the California Highway Patrol and our law enforcement partners to dismantling organized vehicle theft rings and protecting our communities.

During this Maximum Enforcement Period, Officers from the Victorville area remained committed to keeping our roadways safe by actively enforcing impaired driving laws and educating motorist on the dangers of driving under the influence. The vehicle pictured in the second image serves as a reminder of why these enforcement efforts matter. During this enforcement stop, officers located:

- 12 unopened alcoholic beverages
- 1 opened alcoholic beverage within reach of the driver
- 8 empty alcoholic beverage containers.

Following the investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Impaired driving places everyone at risk and is entirely preventable. Plan ahead, designate a sober driver, or use a rideshare service.
