Good Afternoon, Silverado Community -
We are aware of a video currently circulating on social media involving students making racial slurs while parked on Silverado鈥檚 campus. We are actively investigating the situation and want to assure our community that we have a zero-tolerance policy for behavior of this nature. Silverado High School remains committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. Appropriate consequences will be enforced.

Dear Students, Staff, Families, and Community Members,

We want to share an update regarding our ongoing concerns about the proposed behavioral health facility expansion near our schools.

This week, the Victor Valley Union High School District sent an open letter to the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors outlining our position and requesting immediate action.

In that letter, we reiterated our support for behavioral health and substance abuse services in the High Desert, but our concern remains the project's location adjacent to active school campuses.

We have asked the County to pause construction, conduct a meaningful evaluation of school impacts, consider alternative locations, and engage the community through a transparent and collaborative process.

Community voice matters. If you wish to share your perspective, we encourage you to contact the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and the County CEO directly and to express your views regarding this issue respectfully. Contact information for all parties is included below.

Thank you for your continued engagement, your advocacy for student safety, and your commitment to our school community.

Atentamente,

Carl Coles
