SCHOOL DAY SAT

Don’t miss the opportunity to take the SAT at Vidalia High School this Fall- sign up today!

Colleges and universities often require SAT or ACT scores for admission. If you haven’t already taken one, now is the perfect time to prepare! We’re offering the SAT on our campus, October 29th, for your convenience.

How to register-
1. Complete the registration form using the link below (or in your Google Classroom).

2. Submit payment through School Cash Online

✅ BOTH registration form & payment must be completed by September 30th to secure your spot.

Once registered and paid, detailed testing information and instructions will be sent to your school email.

The SAT will be given on campus October 29, 2026. The cost for testing is $50.
NO payments accepted in Guidance, you must pay through School Cash Online. SAT waivers are not permitted for the School Day test.

There are limited spots available - To reserve your spot for testing, you must Register online AND pay by September 30, 2026.

School Safety Update

Vidalia City Schools is aware of a social media post circulating regarding school safety. Our School Resource Officers have thoroughly investigated the matter, and at this time, there is no credible threat to our schools.

We understand that messages of this nature can cause concern for students, families, staff, and our community. While similar posts have been circulating in communities across the nation as part of a broader social media trend, we take every report or concern regarding school safety seriously. While this post did not mention our school system specifically, we felt it was necessary to ensure parents that we are aware and are taking every precaution.

Our district and school administrators remain vigilant and continue to work closely with our School Resource Officers and local law enforcement partners to monitor concerns and maintain the safety and security of our schools.

We appreciate the continued partnership of our families and community. We encourage anyone who becomes aware of a potential safety concern to report it directly to school administration or law enforcement rather than sharing or reposting unverified information on social media.

The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority.

We’ve spent Rivalry Week showing what makes Vidalia High School Built Different. Built Elite. Today, it’s time to show what that looks like in competition.

At VHS, athletics is about more than wins and losses. It’s about discipline. Commitment. Teamwork. Leadership. Pride. Our student-athletes put in the work, in the classroom, in practice, and in competition, to represent the Maroon & Gold the right way.

Across every sport and every season, our Indians know what it means to compete for something bigger than themselves.

And tonight, it’s GAME DAY.

On this Rivalry Week edition of Thankful Thursday, we’re celebrating the people behind the scenes who make Vidalia High School a special place to learn, work, and belong.

From the classrooms to the hallways, front office to the cafeteria, buses to ballfields, and everywhere in between, it takes an entire team investing in our students every single day.

Some of the most important work doesn’t always happen in the spotlight, but ELITE happens because of the people who show up, step in, and do what it takes.

Today, we see you. We appreciate you. And we’re thankful you’re part of our team.

COUCH POTATO DAY | FIND YOUR PASSION

You may see a few couch potatoes around VHS today, but when it comes to learning, our students aren’t sitting on the sidelines!

Through our CTAE programs and electives, students have opportunities to get up, get involved, and discover what they love. Whether they’re building skills for a future career, creating something new, developing leadership skills, or exploring a passion, there’s a place for every student to plug in at VHS.

Because being Built Different, Built Elite means giving students opportunities to find their strengths, develop real-world skills, and prepare for what comes next.
