How is everyone doing this morning? I hope everyone is safe and doing okay.

The trees that are down have been reported. Unfortunately, some of them cannot be removed until Entergy is able to take care of the power lines that came down with them.

I know it can be frustrating waiting, but everyone’s safety has to come first. Please be careful around any downed trees or power lines, and thank you for your patience while everything gets taken care of.

Due to the upcoming forecast, sand and bags are currently available at:

📌 Precinct 1 County Road & Bridge Maintenance Barn located on North Hwy 87 at North Teal
📌 Precinct 2 11897 State Hwy 62 in Mauriceville directly across from Market Basket on Hwy 62
📌 Precinct 3 County Road & Bridge Maintenance Barn located on 2502 West Round Bunch Road
📌 Precinct 4 County Road & Bridge Maintenance Barn located on 375 Claiborne Street

Residents are welcome to bag the sand to use to protect their home from rising water. Bring your own shovel.

For residents in need of sandbags, sandbags are available at the following locations:

• Gould Park
• City of Vidor – Watts Street, across from Animal Control

🚧 Good news, Ward 4! 🚧

Our Streets & Drainage crew will be back on Dewitt Road today putting the finishing touches on Monday's repairs by smoothing out the roadway.

Please drive with caution and expect a slight detour during your commute. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our hardworking crews continue making improvements to our community every day.
