Just giving everyone a heads up that the parking lot and access to the Road Department, Fire Department, recycling dumpsters, and the cemetery pavilion areas will be shut down Thursday afternoon until Sunday/Monday morning sometime for parking sealing purposes. Sorry for the inconvenience but this needs to be done. Thanks

Volunteer firefighters are the backbone of emergency response in rural Ohio, playing a critical role in keeping our communities safe. If you’ve ever considered stepping up to serve, now’s your chance.
The Ohio Fire Academy (OFA) is offering a FREE Volunteer Firefighter Course, meeting all requirements set by the Ohio Administrative Code (O.A.C.).
Course Highlights:
36-hour Volunteer Firefighter awareness-level course
Fast-paced training over two weekends
Topics include ladders, ropes, ventilation, forcible entry, PPE, hoses, and water movement
Must attend the entire program to receive state certification
Course Dates:
August 14–16, 2026 (begins at 6pm on the 14th, 8:00am on the 15th and 16th)
August 21–23, 2026 (begins at 6pm on the 21st, 8:00am on the 22nd and 23rd)
Cost: Absolutely FREE!
Tuition, meals, course materials, and dormitory lodging are all provided at no cost.
Participants must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).

As many of you know there was a horrible crash last night in Vienna Township. Although the out come wasn’t what we wished for, the effort put forth by those involved was impressive. Fire/EMS personnel from Vienna Fire, Fowler Fire were able to extinguish the fire, extricate and transport both patients. Thank you to Bud’s Towing Jeremy Rogers, who was driving by and provided assistance in extricating one of the victims. Our sympathy and prayers to those involved.
