Several of our members left for Brantley Co. early Saturday morning. Our units had a direct effect on saving several houses, and provided a water supply for other units protecting homes. They made it home safely around 3:30 Sunday morning.

With football season in full swing and the holiday season approaching there is no better time to gather around the grill for a BBQ and spend time with family and friends. With that being said, let's make sure everybody stays safe and follows these grilling safety guidelines!

This morning at approximately 3:53 a.m. Vienna Fire Department was dispatched to 530 Gregory St. in Vienna for a structure fire. Upon arrival, E2 and E1 found a single family mobile home with fire and smoke showing on the AD corner of the structure. A quick and aggressive offensive attack was made by personnel on scene and the fire was suppressed quickly limiting extension to the rest of the residence. All occupants were safe and accounted for. VFD would like to thank Pinehurst Fire Department for their assistance!

Early this morning around 3:07am members of the Vienna Fire Department and Pinehurst Fire Department were dispatched to a wreck with possible entrapment around MM 112 Southbound on GA 401. E-41 was the first arriving fire apparatus on scene with Vienna E-1 and Vienna R-16 arriving shortly after. On scene reports indicated there was no entrapment but multiple patients. All fire department personnel assisted EMS with patient care during the incident and providing a secure scene by properly blocking off lanes of travel with the fire apparatus.
During this incident a medical call was dispatched; due to the wreck with multiple patients and multiple injuries EMS asked for the Fire Department to respond to the medical call and provide medical care until they could respond. Fire units remained on scene until EMS arrived on scene and patient care was turned over.

Great job to the all the agencies that responded: Dooly County Sheriff's Office, Dooly County EMS, Georgia State Patrol, Pinehurst Fire Department and Vienna Fire Department.
