Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization

Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization Our goal is to provide a safe, multimodal, innovative, and resilient transportation system for all.

The SCTPO continually monitors the conditions of Brevard’s transportation system, which includes roads, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, airports, seaports, spaceports, rails, and public transit. We work with our citizens, local governments, transportation agencies, and elected officials, to help shape our future system and address the transportation needs of Brevard County.

Today marks the start of National Stop on Red Week (August 2–8, 2026)! 🚦 One light. One rule. Lives saved.

Rushing through a yellow light or failing to stop on red puts everyone at risk. Traffic crashes are preventable, and saving lives starts with making safe choices every time we step into a vehicle.

Join us this week in committing to safer streets across Brevard County.

πŸ—οΈ A massive milestone for regional infrastructure! In February 2026, we officially broke ground on the future Brevard Regional Traffic Management Center (BRTMC).

By uniting multiple agencies under a single operational hub, we are paving the way for smarter, safer, and highly coordinated travel across the Space Coast.

As FDOT Central Florida Secretary John Tyler shared:
πŸ’¬ "By bringing agencies together under one operational hub, we're strengthening communication, improving real-time incident response, and supporting safer travel throughout the region."

Catch the waves of progress and see how this state-of-the-art facility will transform your daily commute in our latest Annual Report!

β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ Connected by design! Our 2025-26 Annual Report highlights the progress of the Southern Brevard Trails Master Plan (SBTMP), bringing us closer to a fully connected, off-road trail system.

We gathered incredible community feedback during our public workshops, and the message is clear: Brevard County residents want safer, healthier, and more accessible ways to get around without relying solely on cars.

Check out these inspiring Community Voices from our SBTMP workshops:
πŸ’¬ "Trails, nature, and exercise are great, but encouraging normal daily transportation to replace cars is critical."
πŸ’¬ "I am looking forward to using off road trails!"

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped shape the future of our regional trail network! Explore the full project breakdown in our Annual Report:
