Our Bonanza Station is sporting a new sign. Thank you to the generous donor who made this possible and thanks to Firefighter Bill Johnson on a great installation.

In Bonanza we house a Type 6 Wildland Truck. There is usually creek water to draft from and we have a 10,000 gallon water Cistern.

April was a quieter month for the Villa Grove/Bonanza Volunteer Fire Department, but our volunteers remained ready to respond whenever needed and continued serving our community and surrounding areas.

Hello community members,

We would like to extend a big thank you to Saguache County Search & Rescue for hosting their annual helicopter safety training. It was a great opportunity for our crew to learn, refresh skills, and work alongside other agencies in a hands-on environment.

Many of our members proudly serve not only as firefighters, but also as part of Search and Rescue, and trainings like this are incredibly valuable in keeping everyone prepared and safe.

It was great to see so many agencies come together, and we appreciate the teamwork and dedication from everyone involved.

A special thank you to REACH Air Medical Services and Eagle Air Med for coming out and putting on such a great training—we truly appreciate your time and expertise.
