Nobody thinks it could happen to them, but it could happen. Be prepared just in case. Fill up your car, don't wait, make sure you have some water, snacks, and a flashlight and of course a phone charger. Stop by the library today or tomorrow and pick up a good book for when you are at home safe and sound.

With hazardous travel expected Wednesday and Thursday, make sure your car is equipped with the necessary gear to survive in the event you become stranded.

We have been briefed on inclement winter weather coming into our area over the next few days. As we pass through this week, we can anticipate rain along with dropping temperatures creating icy conditions before transitioning to accumulating snow. Please use caution and allow extra time if you must travel. Prepare yourself for warmth in the event of an emergency as winter storms may delay response times. Stay safe!

We wanted to let everyone know that we have decided to cancel the murder mystery play for this year. Thank you to everyone for their time and help with this play and we look forward to having this play next year.

The Friends of the Library Murder Mystery Play is on hold for now till we get cleared from restrictions from the coronvirus. We will keep you posted. Thanks!

Murder mystery play is currently under way. Play date is April 25 at the Villa Grove school cafeteria. Times and tickets will be ready for sale at a later date. Hope to see you there!

If anyone is interested in joining the Friends of the Library, it's free! Please come and join us! Our meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at the library.

Look for the Friends of the library in the Ag Day parade on Saturday. They will be passing out these "cool" fans, mood pencils, and popsicles! They will also be selling grab bags in front of the library for only a buck!
