Tailgate theft is on the rise, but protecting your truck can be simple. We’ll laser-etch your vehicle’s VIN onto your tailgate at no cost. If a stolen tailgate is ever recovered, that engraved VIN helps us quickly identify and return it to you.

During a traffic stop on December 27, 2025, deputies contacted a suspicious vehicle in Villa Park for vehicle code violations. The driver claimed to be a security guard; however, further investigation revealed he was a convicted felon.

The subject was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, narcotics, and forgery, and was booked into jail.🚔🚨

Last week, the Villa Park Rotary Club hosted a Thanksgiving celebration for Marines at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. Congresswoman Young Kim and the Mayor of Villa Park Nicol Jones were also in attendance. It was a great time honoring those who serve.

Villa Park Police Services has observed an increase in e-bike and electric motorcycle-related violations and injuries throughout the area. To help keep everyone safe, please remember to follow these important rules:

* No riding in parks, city buildings, or non-designated areas
* Helmets required for anyone under 18
* Speed limit: 5 MPH on sidewalks where permitted
* Must follow all traffic laws and yield to pedestrians
* Restrictions near schools and business areas

After an incredible 26 years of service, we honor Captain Patella as he retires from the OC Sheriff’s Department. His career has been a true testament to leadership, commitment, and professionalism. From his early days as a Special Services Officer to his final role as Captain, Captain Patella has made a lasting impact in every position he held.
