LTGOP endorsed Councilmen Conrad, Wareham, and Roy to continue leading Lower Township! Tom, Joe, and Roland are trusted, proven leaders
LOWER TOWNSHIP GOP ENDORSES CONRAD, WAREHAM, & ROY
Lower Township — Councilmen Tom Conrad, Joe Wareham, and
Roland Roy were endorsed last night by the Lower Township GOP for re-election to Township Council. "Over the past several years this team has demonstrated steady leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for all Lower Township residents," said Lower Township GOP Leader Jeff Lindsay.
Despite facing significant increases in utility expenses and costs for employee health benefits, Lower Township Council has successfully delivered a budget with no tax increase this year, which is the third time in the past five years that Council has not increased property taxes. This disciplined approach has led Lower Township to having the 19th lowest tax bill in the State of New Jersey (out of 564 municipalities!) in each of the past five years - an incredible achievement that reflects their approach to protecting our taxpayers.
“Keeping taxes stable while costs continue to rise was not easy, but it was necessary,” said Councilman Tom Conrad. “We made responsible decisions, prioritized essential services, and ensured that residents could use their money for their families and not be burdened with additional taxes in a State where we are already overly taxed.”
Councilman Roland Roy highlighted the administration’s continued investment in infrastructure improvements across the township. “We’ve made real progress upgrading our roads, drainage systems, and public facilities,” Roy said, “These improvements are critical to maintaining property values and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our community.”
In addition to infrastructure, Council has made meaningful investments in parks and recreation, including the addition of new pickleball courts, upgrades to Rotary Park, and continued improvements at David C. Douglass Park along the Delaware Bay, which all enhance recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.
Councilman Joe Wareham emphasized the importance of these enhancements. “Our parks and recreation investments are about strengthening community,” Wareham stated. “From the new pickleball courts to the upgrades at Rotary Park and David C. Douglass Park, we are creating spaces where families can gather, children can play, and residents can enjoy all that Lower Township has to offer.”
The Lower Township GOP praised the incumbents for their proven record as leaders, and their focus on balancing fiscal restraint with meaningful community investments.
“Tom, Joe, and Roland have proven that effective governance is about making tough choices, delivering results, and always putting residents first,” said Jeff Lindsay. “They are proven and trusted leaders in our community, and we are confident they will continue to lead Lower Township forward.”
