Praying that everyone is safe and damages are not great in our parish. And, praying for all who have been impacted in LA and TX.

Please post here if your business is open and ready for customers. Please PM your status if you have damages and are not open. We would like to know who needs assistance and what type. We will not post anything publicly that would open your property/business to vandalism.

Get a Hurricane Game Plan for Your Business, Your Employees, and Your Family

With some businesses potentially feeling the impacts of Delta as soon as Thursday, the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) is encouraging all Louisiana business owners who do not already have a hurricane plan to visit their website for guidance on how to create one, as well as things to consider as they prepare for tropical weather. Visit GOHSEP's website for helpful information (https://gohsep.la.gov/). Also visit their "Get a Game Plan" webpage (https://www.getagameplan.org/resources/get-a-game-plan-app/) for business and get their full Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Guide (https://gohsep.la.gov/PREPARE/EMERGENCY-PREPAREDNESS-GUIDE). It contains more information relevant to keeping your business, employees, communities and families safe.

Praying for everyone's safety during this storm.

When severe weather strikes, will you be ready? It's critical that you are, for your safety and your family's. The key is to have a winning game plan. We want to help.

LDWF to Host Live Session Online to Address CARES Act Fund Questions

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will discuss and answer questions about the $14.6 million in federal funding it has received to help the state’s fishing community suffering financially because of the COVID-19 pandemic during its bi-monthly live social media series “Conservation Conversations.”

The program will highlight information on applications and qualification issues for the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act benefits. LDWF began accepting applications for the funds on Monday, September 14.

“Conservation Conversations” will be available on Facebook, live at noon, Wednesday, September 16, by visiting: www.facebook.com/ldwffb/live_videos. Viewers can submit questions about the session’s topic in real-time.

The featured guest will be LDWF Office of Fisheries Biologist Administrator Jason Froeba.

LDWF began hosting Conservation Conversations in July. Each session features a hot topic related to wildlife and fisheries, with an expert who can answer questions about that topic.

For more information about the CARES Act Funds, visit www.wlf.louisiana.gov/news/ldwf-to-begin-accepting-applications-for-146-million-cares-act-funds.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is responsible for managing and protecting Louisiana’s abundant natural resources. The department issues hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses, as well as boat titles and registrations.
