The Vincennes Police Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Vincennes Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1157 for their generous donation of $1,500 to the department’s K-9 Fund. Contributions such as this directly support the continued training, care, and equipment needs of our K-9 program, which plays a vital role in protecting and serving our community. VFW Post 1157

Pictured presenting the donation on behalf of the VFW Post 1157 is Commander Tedd Cooper. Accepting the donation is Lieutenant Michael Caswell (Badge #214) alongside K-9 Boca.

The Vincennes Police Department is extremely grateful for the continued support shown by our community organizations and veterans, whose generosity helps strengthen public safety efforts throughout Vincennes and Knox County.

VPD WEEKLY FEATURED PET 🐾

Meet Baby Girl, a sweet 9-year-old female currently waiting for her forever home. Baby Girl has a loving temperament, does well with both cats and dogs, and is great with children. She also knows how to “sit” and “be pretty,” which she proudly showed off during her visit.

Officer Baxter recently stopped by to spend some time with Baby Girl and, of course, brought her a Beggin’ Strip, which quickly became the highlight of her day. 🦴🐶 Baby Girl was excited for the extra attention and treats while soaking up the love and affection.

Although Baby Girl has some hip issues and a weak bladder, she continues to be a gentle, sweet companion with plenty of love to give. She has currently been at the shelter for two weeks and would love the opportunity to find a caring forever family.

Baby Girl’s adoption fees have already been paid, helping make it even easier for her future family to bring her home.!

If you are interested in adopting Baby Girl please visit the Vincennes Animal Shelter.

Pictured below are Officer Baxter (Badge #234) and Babygirl.
