If you have a child under the age of 18 and are a Daviess County resident, you have the opportunity to receive free meals for your child(ren) over the summer through the Washington Community Schools!
No registration required. No income guidelines. No questions asked. Just free, healthy meals for your children.
Washington Community Schools Sodexo Food Service is pleased to provide FREE breakfast and lunch meals for all children 18 and under over the summer.
May 26 - June 5, 2026
SUN MEALS at Washington Intermediate - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Congregate Breakfast served from 8:45-9:05 am
Congregate Lunch served from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Students not in summer school need to enter the front door and check in.
June 9 - July 28, 2026
SUN MEALS TO GO: WCS will be distributing non-congregate meal kits at Washington High School, Gate 4, between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm each Tuesday.
At this meal pick-up, we will provide breakfast, lunch, and milk for 5 days for each child in your home. Only parents or legal guardians may pick up meals. CHILDREN MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE MEALS.
Opt - Out Policy
If your child is eating lunch, breakfast, or a snack at the YMCA, WC Cardinal Care, or Infinite Sports, they cannot participate in Sun Meals to Go that week. We will be using rosters from each camp/daycare to ensure families are not getting meals at both sites.
You can opt-out of meals at one of these three sites by contacting SFSP program director at [email protected]. If you opt out of meals at one of these sites, you can then come through the line on Tuesdays.
