📢 Hours Update – Vincennes Recycling Center

We're pleased to announce that the Vincennes Recycling Center has returned to its regular operating schedule:

♻️ Monday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
♻️ Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
♻️ Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
♻️ Thursday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
♻️ Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we worked through recent staffing transitions. Providing convenient recycling opportunities for Knox County residents remains a priority, and we're glad to once again offer extended Wednesday hours.

Due to current staffing issues, our Monroe City recycling location will be temporarily closed until further notice.

We understand this may cause inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through staffing transitions and operational adjustments.

Residents may continue utilizing our other available recycling locations during this time. We will provide updates as soon as the Monroe City location is able to reopen.

We’re excited to officially welcome Knox County Solid Waste Management District’s new Executive Director, Kim Fourman.

Kim brings a background in nonprofit leadership, community development, program management, and public engagement. Her experience building partnerships and creating community-focused initiatives will help continue the district’s mission of promoting responsible waste management, recycling, education, and environmental stewardship throughout Knox County.

As Executive Director, Kim will be focused on strengthening community outreach, supporting recycling initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and helping expand the district’s impact across the county.

Please join us in welcoming Kim to this new role.

Wednesday hours changing at Knox County Recycling.

Knox County Recyling reports staffing shortages.

Because of that, Wednesday hours are temporarily changing. Effective today, the center will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesdays instead of the usual 5 p.m.
Staff are working to hire additional employees and plan to return to regular hours as soon as possible. They also thank the public for its patience.
