Emergency Shelter for women, women with children, men with children, and families. Lotus provides guests with a home like environment that includes private spaces for sleeping, all hygiene items provided, private bathrooms with showers, laundry facilities and meals. Lotus strives to work with each guest/family on goal planning through a strength based case management approach to help women and fam

ilies get back on their feet and reestablished into their community. We serve a 6-county area- Webster, Hamilton, Wright, Humboldt, Pocahontas, and Calhoun Co's.

Pastor Josh and members of New Covenant Christian Church in Fort Dodge volunteered at Lotus Community Project, Inc. for and helped with some yard work, sorting/organizing our loft and cleaning part of our transition house.
A couple members went above and beyond by locating our well, climbing down there and ensuring water can be turned on to the transition house.

We have some ladies helping clear tables tonight and they are making the most of their night!
All the ladies that came, filled out the application and so far... 2 have been asked for an on the spot interview!
This is awesome for our ladies as they are trying better their situation so they can be independent again!
