Yesterday afternoon at 1409 hours, Task Force 1711 (VFC, HLVFC, HLES) along with mutual aid units were dispatched to the Crescent Heights section of Southampton for a reported dwelling fire. Chief 1900 (Good Will Fire Company) arrived and confirmed an active chimney fire. The “All Companies” were placed in service, resulting in additional resources being requested to the scene. Chief 1710 (Mitchell), Rescue Engine 1711 (Brockson) and Tender 1716 (B. Allen) responded. Chief 1710 arrived and assumed command while 1711 and 1716’s crews assisted with suppression and overhaul efforts. There were no reported injuries on scene, and the fire is being investigated by the Burlington County Fire Marshal’s office, as is standard practice.

While standing by for the investigation, Task Force 1710 (VFC, HLVFC, HLES) was dispatched to the intersection of Birmingham Road and Pemberton Road for a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment. Chief 1710 and Rescue Engine 1711 responded from the fire scene. Chief 1900 arrived and confirmed a 2 car accident, with no entrapment. 1710 and 1711 secured the vehicles and awaited the tow companies to remove the cars from the roadway.

Yesterday’s incidents were number 86 and 87 for the year, proving a very busy start to 2026.

Have you dug out your closest fire hydrant yet?

Yesterday afternoon, between the 12 calls that our in house crew answered through the storm, members took some time to shovel out some of the hydrants in Vincentown Village.
Help us to help you in the event of an emergency! Shovel out a three foot wide area around your closest hydrant, so that we can see them and easily access them in the event of a fire!
