We know there are a lot of questions in regard to the heavy police presence on East Main Street folks. We are assisting KSP while they conduct an investigation. We want everyone to know that there is NO danger to the community! Thanks and stay safe Vine Grove.

We are incredibly proud to share that the City of Vine Grove has been ranked #4 on the list of Safest Cities in Kentucky for 2026 by SafeWise! This exciting announcement was made today at the Hardin County Chamber luncheon, and it’s truly a moment worth celebrating for our entire community.

This recognition doesn’t happen by chance. It is the direct result of dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to keeping Vine Grove a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Police Department especially our Chief, who took on the challenge of rebuilding the department and has done an outstanding job. To each and every officer who serves with professionalism and care every single day, your work does not go unnoticed.

We also want to recognize our Fire Department and our Public Works team. Your efforts behind the scenes play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our city.

To all of our city employees this achievement belongs to you. Your hard work makes Vine Grove stronger, safer, and something we can all be proud of.

And finally, thank you to our citizens. Your support, involvement, and commitment to looking out for one another play a big part in keeping Vine Grove safe.

I am thankful for all of you.

***Scam Alert***

The Vine Grove Police Department has received several reports over the last 48 hours in regards to scam calls referencing both the Vine Grove Police Department and the Hardin County Sheriff's Office. These scammers will claim to be an Officer or Deputy from either agency, and in some cases have very convincing and accurate details regarding your personal information. They will then claim that you failed to appear in court or for jury duty and state that you are going to be arrested unless you pay a fine over the phone or send money to them using a bar code that goes back to a refillable prepaid visa or mastercard. Do NOT send these individuals any money or give them any banking information. No law enforcement agency in Hardin County will require you to pay a court fine over the phone in this manner! Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter folks.

Stay vigilant and stay safe Vine Grove 🇺🇲

Today, Officer Justin McKinney was honored alongside over 170 fellow Law Enforcement Officers from all over the commonwealth by the Governor and The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety for excellence in keeping our roads safe from impaired drivers. Officer McKinney's dedication and commitment to keeping the citizens of Vine Grove safe on our roads makes us all very proud! He even celebrated by busting a drunk driver as soon as we got back from Lexington tonight! Keep up the good work Justin!
