What a fun time at our 3rd Annual Back-to-School Extravaganza! It was wonderful to see so many students and families from our community come together to kick off another amazing school year. And, of course, getting some bear hugs from our Barse Bears made the morning even better! 🐻💙

It was a BEAR-y Sweet Night! 💙🐻

Our Sweet Treats & Bear Greets event was a wonderful success! More than 50 families joined us for an evening filled with smiles, laughter, and school spirit.

Our Bears enjoyed bear-themed temporary tattoos, playground fun, bubbles, yard games, popsicles, and music. And, of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without a special visit from Buddy the Bear! 🐻

One of the best parts of the evening was simply being together. We loved meeting some of our newest cubs who will be entering kindergarten or joining our school family from another school. And there’s nothing quite like the big hugs and huge smiles from familiar faces who have walked our hallways before. 💙

Our school family may be small, but it sure is MIGHTY! What a joyful way to kick off the new school year. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

A special thank you to our amazing staff who came out to connect with our families and help make the evening so special, and to our wonderful PTO for generously donating the popsicles! We are so grateful for everyone who helps make our school community such a special place!

💙🐻 So proud to see our very own Barse Bear, Ma’Lani, recognized for the kindness, leadership, and compassion she demonstrates every day. She brings those same qualities to our school, making it a better place for everyone around her.

🌟Meet Do the Right Thing recipient Ma’Lani Mae Stevenson!🌟

The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office's Cumberland County Positive Youth Development Coalition (CCPYDC) is proud to recognize Ma’Lani for her resilience, compassion, and leadership.

Ma’Lani has demonstrated remarkable maturity while navigating significant changes over the past year and a half. Her nominator described her as a loving and empathetic young person who is always willing to help others.

After beginning at a new school, Ma’Lani was selected to participate in its Kindness and Leadership Club. She supports her teachers, helps those around her, and uses opportunities to stand up for students who are being bullied.

Ma’Lani’s willingness to lead with kindness, courage, and empathy reflects exactly what the Cumberland County Do the Right Thing Youth Recognition Program was created to celebrate.
