Last evening’s fire drill was on our Paratech equipment. Members were trained on multiple scenarios on the uses of our air cart, high pressure air bags and medium pressure air cushions. Class was conducted by Safety and Survival Training.

Our members are hanging out staying warm over night, but will be ready to go. Making our response time significantly better during this snow storm.
Do us a favor and only travel if needed. Stay inside and stay warm.

...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM SUNDAY TO 6 PM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
between 10 and 18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Atlantic, Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Cape May, and Coastal
Atlantic Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 PM Sunday to 6 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates could exceed 2 inches per
hour. Locally higher snowfall amounts and significant drifting of
snow possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle. The latest road conditions for the state you are
calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
