In recognition of Fire Prevention Month, the Vineland Fire Department will conduct a free smoke detector inspection and installation event in two specific locations on Sunday, October 19, starting at 9:00 AM.
Headed by career firefighter Kaylynn Low, volunteers and career members of the department will be out in the community, canvassing and distributing smoke detectors at Delsea Woods Mobile Home Park located at 800 College Drive, and Heritage Hill Estates located at 3730 S Delsea Drive. All fire department personnel will be wearing Vineland Fire Department clothing and will clearly identify themselves as such.
This is a perfect opportunity to have your smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries checked, get a detector installed if you need one, or ask our first responders questions about fire safety in your home.
"As Mayor, I am incredibly proud of our Fire Department and their continued dedication to keeping our community safe,” Mayor Fanucci said. "Initiatives like the free smoke detector inspection and installation program, especially during Fire Prevention Month, reflect their commitment not just to emergency response but to proactive education and prevention. Thank you and keep up the great work.”
