It's that time of year again..... During potential weather events with a chance for wind gusts, please be sure to secure your belongings (trash cans, patio furniture, etc.). Heavy downpours may create roadway flooding - do not drive through them! If there are downed power lines please stay away and treat them as live wires. Now would be a good time to check your gutters to make sure they are free of debris.

Confidence is increasing in some severe thunderstorms moving through later today. The main threat is damaging wind gusts, with storms beginning to develop and move in after 2 PM. Make sure you have ways to receive any warnings! And when thunder roars, go indoors!

As Memorial Day approaches, our members carry on the tradition of marking the graves of our members that have passed with a grave marker and American Flag. Pictured left to right are Don Lovisone, Sisco Torres and Karl Anderson. To maintain the solemn spirit of the day, Americans are asked to pause wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time for one minute of silence on Memorial Day.

On Saturday, May 2nd over 20 of our firefighters and officers along with additional personnel from Vineland Fire Dept, Station 5 attended live fire training at the Gloucester County Fire Training Center. Evolutions included thermal layering and thermal imaging instruction along with basic engine company operations and search techniques.

Training never stops so we can perform when it counts!!

Fire recruit orientation night! The next 10 volunteer firefighters for Vineland attended an orientation at Fire Headquarters. As part of the onboarding process after a short presentation recruits received a candidate task book which will help prepare them for the upcoming fire academy. Please show your support for the incoming class of students.
