🚌🛑 SCHOOL BUS SAFETY REMINDER! 🛑🚌
School is back in session, which means more school buses—and more kids getting on and off the bus. Let’s all do our part to keep them safe!

🔴 FLASHING RED LIGHTS = STOP!
You MUST STOP when approaching a school bus from the front or rear on a road with fewer than 5 lanes, including the center turn lane.

✅ WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE TO STOP:
If you're traveling in the opposite direction, you do not have to stop when:
• There is a physical barrier or median separating traffic.
• The road has 5 or more lanes, including the center turn lane.
• The bus is at an intersection controlled by a traffic light or police officer.

⚠️ Please slow down, pay attention, and never pass a stopped school bus when the red lights are flashing.

A few extra seconds can make all the difference. Let’s get our kids to school and back home safely! 🚌💛

💦 DUNK-A-SHERIFF! 💦

Our Utah County Sheriff’s Office deputies were good sports at today’s Back to School Water Party! 😂 Thanks to everyone who came out, took their best shot, and helped us send a few deputies into the water!

We hope everyone had a blast celebrating the end of summer with us! ☀️💦

***Traffic Incident***

Early this morning, 07/21/26, at 01:44 AM, a driver was traveling on 1600 North at a high rate of speed. The driver left the roadway at 250 West and damaged various power powers, a fence and other property in the area. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was transported to a local area hospital due to non-life-threatening injuries. While it is evident that speed was a factor in the accident, the exact cause is still under investigation.
Due to the level of property damage, including to area power lines, 1600 North is closed at the railway crossing near the Lindon Boat harbor. You can access the Lindon Boat harbor from Vineyard Road from the Vineyard Connector.

It is currently unknown how long that roadway will need to be closed so that the power lines can be repaired.

Earlier this month, a large amount of Fireworks were stolen from a shipping container that was being used to store them at 773 East Mill Road in Vineyard.
