Thank you, Town of Vinton, Virginia Government! We officially have a crosswalk!

Please be sure to park in the Vinton Baptist parking lot when you're visiting the Vinton Community Playground. The new crosswalk makes crossing the street so much safer!

Folks, we hope you're enjoying the Vinton Community Playground! Just a reminder: please park in the Vinton Baptist Church parking lot and cross Poplar street to access the playground. The parking lots closest to the playground are dedicated to the businesses next door. We understand that the Town of Vinton, Virginia will be installing the crosswalk across Poplar in the VERY NEAR future, which should help make drivers more aware and careful of the foot traffic associated with the playground. Now that spring is here and the weather will be warming up on a more consistent basis, we hope that you enjoy our community playground fully!

If you've been to the Vinton Community Playground in the past few days, you may have noticed that the accessibility ramp is under construction. Please bear with us as we battle the weather in order to construct a permanent ramp. The playground is still available for use. Just be extra careful entering and exiting. The entrance should be fully handicapped accessible soon.

The Vinton Baptist Church office will be closed Tuesday. If you find the playground locked, there will be no one in the office to open it. We hope to be back in the office on Wednesday and have it "open for business" at that time! Thanks for understanding.

Good morning, folks! We have previously advertised the Vinton Community Playground hours as dawn to dusk. As of today, the hours will be 8 AM to dusk due to both logistical and safety reasons. Thanks for being patient with us as we work out the details of day-to-day management of the playground. We are SO excited to see children and parents enjoying it every single day! Come play with us IN Vinton!
