Sometime between June 20th and July 2nd the Blacklick Valley Water Authority box on the Vintondale Borough building was tampered with and the checks that were in there were removed. If you received a bill from them and it says past due but you paid via the dropbox call the water authority to verify if they received your check of not. If not call your bank because your account has been compromised.

It is with great sadness that we have to post this. Earlier today one of our officers; Ted Dybus passed away. He was not with the department long but his drive and love of helping people showed in everything he did. Car 375 and EMS 68 lost a great officer and medic today. RIP Ted!

We have been receiving multiple complaints about dogs running loose in the borough. Any dog owner or keeper must keep the animal confined to the owners or keepers premises. Failure to do so could result in a fine.

Remember to drive cautiously this winter. Plan on leaving early to get safely at your destination. Cars can be replaced but you can't.

School has begun. Keep in mind the speed limit in town is 25MPH and will be strictly enforced. Plan your travel time wisely. There are several kids in town getting on or waiting for the school bus.
