🌎🔎 History came to life in Ms. Perry’s 6th grade Social Studies class!

Our 6th grade Hornets participated in an interactive Gallery Walk, examining artifacts and answering questions about how they impacted early humans and their environment. 🏺🗺️

Students have been digging into fossil evidence of early humans, exploring where fossils have been discovered, why early human history began in Africa, and tracing migration routes on maps they created. After the gallery walk, students returned to their desks to tackle a compelling question—How do the tools and technology used by early humans compare to the technology we use today? 🤔💡

We love seeing our Hornets moving, exploring, questioning, and making connections between the past and the present! 🐝💚🖤

🏃‍♂️💚 So proud of our Viper Cross Country runners! 💚🏃‍♀️

Our Hornets did an amazing job at yesterday’s meet! Every single runner crossed the finish line, kept pushing, and never gave up—and that’s something to be proud of! 🐝💪

🏅 Matthew Shepherd brought home 4th place in the 5th–8th Grade Boys Division!
🏅 Andrew Bales finished 9th place in the 5th–8th Grade Boys Division!

Our 6th graders took learning into their own hands by using playing cards to create fractions and practice multiplying and dividing. 🃏➗✖️ A fun, hands-on way to build fraction fluency while keeping students actively engaged in the learning!
