This week FLSW Sailor of the Year finalists attended the FY23 SOY Conference here at FLSW. Congratulations to all FLSW Sailor of the Year candidates!

A very abnormal sight for the very busy Globemaster OPTEMPO…. All three jets are home.
Special thanks to the mx team that brought home 696 from depot level mx! The team was on the road multiple times over several weekends and multiple FCFs but they got it done right an example of the Globemaster way pillar “excellence”.

Happy Halloween! Earlier this month our MWR & Globemaster FCPOA hosted a shop door decorating contest and hangar trick or treat event. Thanks for all that participated!

We have said goodbye to some great Globemasters in the last few months. Honored to recognize them and many others as well at quarters.

Many of the things we do as Globemasters is in an effort to support Mental Health including Command PT yoga with Nancy or HIIT with Jenn,
box breathing/meditation at safety stand downs,
chaps chats,
our 4 legged mutts with a mission visitors, PHOP quarterly squadron sessions with our dedicated advisor Ashley,
or just down time as a squadron.

What do you do outside of the the squadron to support your mental health?
What resources could we utilize as a command to improve overall mental health?

This upcoming drill weekend we will have CDR DeSilva, CNAFR Mental Health advisor, visit to chat with the VR-56 Globemasters.

Shout out to Jenn the fitness specialist that’s been supporting our command PT sessions for months. Her fitness sessions are challenging but fun and support our Globemaster Way by enabling us to build resilience. We will miss you as transfer overseas to support another installation. Thanks for making us sweat!
