Members of MDSU TWO recently got the opportunity to meet and chat with John Krasinski and Michael Kelly - stars from the Amazon hit series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.

As part of a special sneak-peek screening of season 3 episodes, these two amazing individuals broke away and spent time getting to know more about the Navy Diving community and thanking our Sailors for their service.

Thank you John and Michael! Next time you are in town we will get you suited up to get wet!

Three days until the event of the season!

Open bar cocktail hour starts at 1800, with dinner served at 1900. A photo booth will be set up for free pictures so you can capture the moment.

We are honored to celebrate with CW5 (ret.) Phillip Brashear - son of diving legend Master Diver Carl Brashear and president of foundation that bears his fathers name.

Following dinner and comments from our guest of honor, we will crown our Ugly Sweater champion, give away all the gifts and door prizes, then turn down the lights to dance the night away!

MDSU TWO’s NDC Jesse Delapeña and ND1 Nicholas Seidler supported expeditionary diving innovation while testing the Deep Sea Expeditionary No-Decompression Suit (DSEND) in conjunction with ONR, NAVSEA OOC, NSWC Carderock and the NUWC Keyport dive locker.

Over the past few days our MDSU TWO divers donned this prototype suit to conduct “wet dives” in an effort to demonstrate its mobility and flexibility, develop and execute operational and emergency procedures, and provide feedback to system developers so this emerging technology can be a tool for expeditionary diving forces of the future to employ and solve the Navy’s most challenging undersea problems.

Honoring the brave pilots who recently crashed near Chincoteague Island means investigating how the events unfolded in order to ensure it never happens again. MDSU TWO Divers worked tirelessly in the days following the crash to survey the debris field and remove the downed E-2D Hawkeye in order to assist the Aircraft Mishap Board in conducting their detailed investigation.
