Congratulations to Paramedic Jonathan Latoni on being released as an Advanced Life Support Field Training Officer (ALS FTO)!
Paramedic Latoni has served with VB Rescue for six-plus years, volunteering with the Chesapeake Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad before joining the Department of EMS in Oct. 2022.

Congratulations to Ellen McBride for being appointed to Volunteer Deputy EMS Chief. Ellen has been a dedicated volunteer and member of our combined VB Rescue system for more than 16 years.
She has served in numerous leadership roles at many levels, including Assistant Chief for the Department of EMS since 2018, oversaw the Sustainability Committee for two years, was a founding member of the Collaborative Fund Drive Committee that started in 2014 and served on Rescue Council from 2011-2014.
Her accomplishments and recognitions include receiving the Virginia Gilpin Distinguished Service Award in 2019, being a Make a Wish Circle Honoree in 2016, named one of โTen Leading Ladiesโ featured in Coastal Virginia magazine in 2014, VBEMS Outstanding EMS Administrator of the Year in 2013 and the Cape Henry Rotary Club Public Safety Volunteer of the Year in 2013.

The Langhorne & Pulley Memorial Scholarship is a joint partnership between the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation.
