Seven years ago, our community was forever changed.

On May 31, 2019, we lost 12 members of our Virginia Beach family, and countless others were left carrying wounds that cannot always be seen. Their absence continues to be felt by coworkers, friends, loved ones, and an entire city that will never forget them.

As we mark this seventh year of remembrance, we honor the lives lost, stand with the survivors, and recognize all those who continue to heal.

We invite our community to join us in remembering, reflecting, and showing Love For VB.

An unveiling of the 5/31 Memorial will commemorate the seventh year since the Municipal Center tragedy.

Today, we remember and honor the service members who gave their lives in defense of our country.

While many spend the day with family, friends, and the unofficial start of summer, we also recognize the meaning behind Memorial Day and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

From all of us at Virginia Beach ECCS, have a safe Memorial Day.

Hey Virginia Beach EMS…the internet tells us today marks the start of EMS Week. That’s great and all, but did you make sure your LifePak battery is charged? 👀

In all seriousness, thank you to the men and women of Virginia Beach EMS who answer the call every day and give the phrase “Comin’ In Hot” a whole new meaning. We’re proud to work alongside you as you provide exceptional care to our community, one call at a time.

Now, can someone clear up from the hospital?

Sure, it’s a perfect day to be laying out in Sandbridge, but remember what your mother said: Drink your water. Wear your sunscreen. And please don’t get sand or seawater in your cell phone.

If you do need us, we’re here 24/7. 🤘

: A story that’s worth a second look.

In just a four-month span, one of our own helped guide three families through the birth of their babies and yesterday she got to share that story with Cheyenne Pagan TV and WAVY TV 10.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach dispatcher has assisted with three different emergency births within her first six months on the job. You never know what kind of call you’re going to …

In a four-month span, Allison has helped bring three new lives into the world. Three families who will always remember the calm voice guiding them through one of the most important moments of their lives.

To put that into perspective, there are telecommunicators who spend decades in this profession and experience only one or two calls like this.

This is the impact behind the headset.
