On July 19, 2025, the Angler Commander’s Cup returned triumphantly. Multiple teams from each detachment competed in six physically demanding and mentally challenging events to determine who best embodied the spirit of the Anglers.
A lane grader presented each event through a scenario-based mission statement that combined a standard Soldier task with a physical challenge. At the end of the competition, a company barbecue was hosted, focusing on Soldier camaraderie, Angler cohesion, and overall unit morale.
Each detachment fielded multiple teams, and the scores were averaged. At the conclusion of all six events, PSY-D 1110 and the TPDD tied, with HQ only points away from entering a tiebreaker determined by Angler 6 (MAJ Perry) - a Battle of the Plank. The last Soldier planking between PSY-D 1110 and TPDD was crowned the winner.
PSY-D 1110 emerged as the victor of the Commander’s Cup after a 12-year hiatus from activities in 2025.
This annual event rewards the Soldiers and Company Leadership and celebrates a challenging year of training and missions.
