Today marks seven years since the Municipal Center tragedy. We honor and forever remember those we lost, those seriously injured, survivors and all those who carry the scars of that day. We cannot forget the community that came together in support and solidarity, and everyone who continues to show “Love For VB.”

Lifeguards are back on the beach for the season! 🛟🛟🛟

Lifeguards are back on the beach for the season, and are staffed at the Oceanfront, Sandbridge and Croatan with patrol on the North End.

At each lifeguard stand, you can find dual language beach safety signs (in English and Spanish) to help residents and visitors stay informed about dangerous conditions, rip currents, beach rules and safety tips.

Before you dive into fun, remember: lifeguards keep everyone safe, so be sure to give them a listen. They’ve got your back while you enjoy the waves. 🌊 Learn more: https://bit.ly/3RBEd5g

💙🚑 Capt. Derek Fuller and Capt. Jonathan Quinn had a great time connecting with residents at the Mayor’s Commission on Aging’s annual Senior Showcase on Wednesday. The event offered a mix of helpful resources for senior residents, entertainment and lunch. At Virginia Beach EMS, community truly is at the heart of what we do — and we’re grateful for every chance to show up, support and serve.
