Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

CFM is committed to the health and safety of our employees and communities. During this time of concern regarding COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions to avoid exposure:

• We are sanitizing high tactile surfaces on a daily basis and have established a six-foot buffer, no hand-shake zone at the office.
• We encourage payments to be made online, but if you need to bring by a payment, it can be dropped through the mail slot in our office door.
• The decision to hold a Board or Annual Meeting is at the discretion of your Board of Directors. Should meetings be held in our office, teleconferencing will be available, per the requirements of State Code.
• As always, the quickest (and now most hygienic) way to reach our staff is via email. If you don’t know a person’s email address, please email [email protected], and your message will be forwarded to the appropriate person.

Should you need additional information about the virus, please visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html. We encourage everyone to take the advice of health professionals and exercise best practices to minimize the spread of this illness. Even though this can be a time of stress and anxiety, we ask for your patience, understanding, and empathy. This is a global event that will require a global response. Let’s start locally with keeping our neighbors’ well-being foremost in our minds.

Bee good peeps.

Bee breathing bee fact

Even though bees don’t have nostrils, lungs or gills, they breathe through 10 pairs of valves on their body.

These valves, called spiracles, are located on the sides of their body; three pairs on the thorax, six on the abdomen and one pair hidden within the sting chamber. Though it may appear that the bee is panting, this motion is actually the bee drawing in air through it’s spiracles which is then vacuumed into a complex structure of tracheae and air sacs.

Bees can suffocate from the use of common pesticides in gardens as it coats a bee’s body and blocks off their vents, making them unable to draw oxygen.

Lets care for the bees and make clean, green choices.

The current forecast is for snow in the area and they are anticipating anywhere from 1-3 inches of snow overnight. The amount of accumulation will determine which snow treatment services (if any) your Board of Directors chooses to select. In the event of an emergency, your first call should be to local emergency services. If you need to reach the CFM on-call manager to report property damage after office hours, please call 757-270-7502 and leave a message. They will return your call as soon as possible. There is the possibility that our office will be closed Friday due to the snow, so we appreciate your patience during that time. Please stay off the roads tonight and tomorrow as much as possible, and stay safe and warm!

Question for my Fair Housing issue followers: 'Could my 22 year old stripper girlfriend Candii be considered my emotional support animal if I move into a 55 or older community?' Asking for a friend who is over 55. Serious debate going on here :)

It is enormously unprofessional that CFM is holding files that belong to our association and community. Please, release the documents that pertain to Diamond Springs Condominiums so our board can continue business. Clearly the business relationship deteriorated but this is coming across spiteful and immature.
By responding to the tenants that pay $242 a month just to have the raggedy carpet in the halls vacuumed. Or at least maintaining the elevator that breaks once a month. Most importantly by having a welcome package for any newly arriving tenants. Most of all though, definitely communicating. They only use emails to respond (when they choose to respond.)

More perdie...
Our clients are concerned about limits to emotional support animals... how much is too much? 20 cats/dogs, pigs, ponies, other animals acceptable? Also, Double taxation issues: CICs paying for city trash removal, stormwater and street light costs wrapped inside City water billings but still having to pay for these services privately. Will CAI be addressing these issues on a national level?
