At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet on a regular basis for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice.....

Conducting meetings:
Members learn

how to plan and conduct meetings. Giving impromptu speeches:
Members present 1 - 2 minute impromptu speeches on assigned topics. Presenting prepared speeches:
Three or more members present speeches based on projects from manuals in Toastmasters' proven communication and/or leadership program. Projects cover topics such as speech organization, vocal variety, language, gestures and persuasion. Offering constructive evaluation:
Every prepared speaker is assigned an evaluator who points out speech strengths and offers suggestions for imrovement. Human Services Toastmasters Club 2674 Meeting place:

🎉 Happy Birthday to Toastmaster magazine! 🎉

The first issue launched in April 1933 📖 93 years ago.

It began as a small 3½ x 6 inch pamphlet, a big step up from The Gavel, a mimeographed newsletter started in 1930. ✨

🔵 The first issue comprised short articles submitted by the 13 Toastmasters clubs at the time, detailing their happenings, and offering helpful tips and advice for other clubs.

For nine years, the magazine was published four times a year, until 1942 when it changed to a bimonthly publication and grew a bit in size. In 1946, the Toastmaster went to a monthly schedule. 📆
