What we no longer need can become exactly what someone else has been looking for. ♻️ Every donation to our Thrift Shops and Uniform Lockers has a story. A children's book, a gently used uniform, or a household item can continue its journey while helping support military families along the way.

When we donate, we're not just clearing out closets. We're helping strengthen our community, reduce waste, and fund programs and services for Sailors, Marines, and their families.

Have items ready for a new chapter? Consider donating them.

Basic Pay is the foundation of military compensation and is based on two key factors:
✅ Pay Grade – Promoting to the next rank brings larger increases in Basic Pay.
✅ Longevity – The longer you serve, the more your Basic Pay grows.

Did you know?
📈 Basic Pay generally increases annually based on changes in the Employment Cost Index (ECI), unless Congress or the President establishes a different increase.
💵 Basic Pay is the largest component of military pay, making up approximately 1/2 to 2/3 of a Service member’s cash compensation.
⚠️ Basic Pay is taxable unless you are serving in a designated combat zone or direct support area.

Every year of service and every promotion is an investment in your future. Your dedication today builds greater opportunities tomorrow.

Serve. Grow. Succeed.

What career milestone are you working toward next? Tell us in the comments and share this post with a fellow Service member who could benefit from understanding how Basic Pay grows over time.
