The Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (NEXWDC) held a change of command ceremony on October 1, 2025, at Carl Brashear Conference Center.
At the change of command, CAPT Charles Eckhart handed over the leadership role to CAPT Joseph “Karl” Haywood, who subsequently became the seventh commanding officer of NEXWDC. Rear Adm. Bradley Andros, commander of the Navy Expeditionary Command, was on hand as presiding officer and guest speaker at the event.
