If you haven’t already heard, it’s official 🇺🇸✈️

The 2026 NAS Oceana Air Show returns Sept. 19–20, to celebrate 250 years of America.

This year’s theme honors our nation’s story by bringing it to life through the power and precision of naval aviation.

For over 70 years, the show has been a chance for NAS Oceana to give back to the community right here in Virginia Beach.

For 250 years, the story of America has been written by those willing to stand the watch.

This year, Sept. 19–20, the NAS Oceana Air Show brings that story of strength and determination to the flight line—told by those who defend it today.

See world-class military and civilian pilots, including the Blue Angels, F-22 Raptor Demo Team, F-35C Lightning II Demo Team, and VFA-106 Rhino Demo Team, and more.

“This year’s theme, ‘Celebrating 250 Years of America,’ honors our nation’s founding and those who have answered the call to serve,” said NAS Oceana Commanding Officer Capt. Rob Littman. “We are proud to bring that story to life.”

The 2026 NAS Oceana Air Show is open to the public, and admission and parking are free.
Those 18 years and older must show a physical photo ID for entry. Performances are subject to change.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will experience the power of modern aviation, but the experience extends well beyond the skies.

Guests will experience breathtaking aerial performances, aircraft displays, local vendors, and interactive STEM exhibits.

The NAS Oceana Air Show has been a part of the City of Virginia Beach for over 70 years and is a chance for the Master Jet Base to give back to the community they call home.

“This show is a cornerstone for the City of Virginia Beach, strengthening the bond between our warfighters and the community we proudly serve,” Littman said. “This is our chance to give back, and to showcase how the future of naval aviation begins right here at the U.S. Navy’s Master Jet Base.”

As a reminder, unmanned aerial systems, commonly known as drones, are not permitted at NAS Oceana. The unauthorized use of drones can threaten the safety of aircraft, military personnel, and nearby civilians. Flying a drone within five miles of NAS Oceana, including the Oceanfront resort area, is also prohibited.
