Cmdr. Brian Wood, for professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as Communications Department Head for Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit Two Zero Two from August 2019 to June 2021. Petty Officer Boyd led a team of six personnel in the maintenance and inventory of 210 pieces of communications gear, phone systems and NMCI assets, ensuring uninterrupted support during eight Command Sustainment Exercises, enhancing command readiness for major combat operations. Additionally, he expertly maintained accountability of $2M of Controlled Cryptographic Items. Cmdr. Brian Wood, for professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties, while serving as Camp Maintenance Chief and Quality Control Leading Petty Officer for Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit Two Zero Two from June 2018 to May 2021. Petty Officer O’Berry expertly supervised 22 Seabees in the ex*****on of 750 man-days of construction, 1,800 preventative maintenance checks, and 10 camp discretionary projects, saving the Navy $170K in labor costs. Additionally, he led the command’s Quality Control Program for a 4,000 square foot training facility, valued at $968K, with zero quality deficiencies. Cmdr. Brian Wood, for professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties, while serving as Lead Utilitiesman at Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit Two Zero Two from April 2018 to May 2021. Petty Officer Potter expertly led a crew of five sailors in the installation of 1,329 linear feet of under slab plumbing lines for the Applied Instructional Facility Project. He skillfully assisted in the placement of 200 cubic yards of concrete and the installation and finishing of 14,289 square feet of drywall, saving the Navy $176K in contracted labor cost.
