Congratulations are in order! We are proud to announce the frocking of our Senior Enlisted Advisor, Master Gunnery Sergeant Nathan Davilmar, to his current rank.

For over two centuries, frocking has been a naval tradition in which the service member adorns increased rank and responsibility before receiving any raise in pay. Inspired by our core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, Master Gunnery Sergeant Davilmar is setting the example of selfless service for all those under his charge.

In honor of the Marine Corps’ 249th Birthday, we joined together with soldiers, sailors, veterans, and civilians to partake in a traditional Marine Corps Cake Cutting Ceremony. Celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday honors the rich history and tradition of the Corps while fostering camaraderie and pride between Marines and the broader community. To exemplify the value of our institution’s heritage and legacy, we were privileged to have former Marine Detachment Commanding Officer, Chief Warrant Officer 5 (Ret) Benjamin Bartholomew as our Guest of Honor.

This , the honors the rich history, culture, and contributions of Native Americans in our ranks. Native American Marines are heirs to a proud legacy, most famously defined by the actions of the Navajo Code Talkers of WWII – utilizing their unwritten native language as an unbreakable code, they played a crucial role in secure communications and significantly contributed to the Allied victory in the Pacific.

Today, Native American Marines serving in our ranks carry on this tradition of service, ingenuity and warrior culture.
