I am a conservative republican, and I grew up in the Catawba District of Roanoke County and graduated high school from Northside High School. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication (Public Relations) from Radford University and have been a Deputy Clerk in the Roanoke County Circuit Court Clerk's office since 2011. Now I am taking my next step in leadership in the office and commu

nity by being a candidate to be the next Clerk of Circuit Court in Roanoke County. I have been married since 2005, and after graduating from Radford me and my wife Stephanie moved back to Roanoke County to start a family. We have two amazing kids, a daughter, Adelyn, and a son, Ronan, who attend Roanoke County public schools. We are members of First Christian Church in Salem, where I serve as an Elder, and Stephanie serves as a Deacon. I have been a proud Rotarian since 2013. I have held multiple Board positions (Children's Trust and Prevention Council of Roanoke County). I have been an Event Chair for various fundraising events. I have coached Rec League sports for Roanoke County beginning in 2015. I have spent my time volunteering for many non-profit organizations throughout the years. One of my favorite achievements is leading a grass-roots campaign, which gained national attention and performed interviews for media platforms that were aired and published throughout the United States. From my days at Masons Cove to graduating from Northside and today, the Roanoke County community has helped raise and develop me into the person I am today. I would be honored to earn your vote to serve this wonderful community.

Jury service for August is complete, and jurors are no longer required to report.

There were no jury trials this month, but that also allows us to remind everyone about jury duty scams.

If you receive a call saying you missed jury duty and that you need to pay a fine, please know that the call is a scam. The clerk's office or the Sheriff's Office will not call you and demand payment over the phone for missing jury service.

We appreciate everyone who kept up with their jury service and remained available throughout the month. Thank you for your time, patience, and willingness to serve.

NEW COURTHOUSE RULES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026

Beginning July 1, 2026, a new Standing Order issued by the Judges of the Twenty-Third Judicial Circuit establishes updated rules governing the Roanoke County Courthouse and other court facilities within the circuit.

Key updates include:

• All visitors remain subject to security screening before entering the courthouse.

• Portable electronic devices are permitted in accordance with the Standing Order and applicable courtroom rules.

• Photography, audio recording, video recording, and live streaming are prohibited unless specifically authorized by a judge.

• Food and beverages are subject to courthouse restrictions.

• All visitors are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and follow courthouse security procedures and posted rules.

These updates are designed to promote the safe, secure, and orderly administration of justice while ensuring a safe environment for everyone who visits the courthouse.

🚨 JURY SCAM ALERT 🚨

The Roanoke County Circuit Court Clerk's Office has been notified that citizens are receiving phone calls from individuals claiming to be court officials or the Roanoke County Sheriff's Office regarding jury service.

These scammers may tell you that you missed jury duty and must make an immediate payment to avoid arrest, fines, or other legal consequences.

Please remember:

• The Roanoke County Circuit Court Clerk's Office or the Roanoke County Sheriff's Office will NEVER call, text, or email you demanding payment for jury service.
• We will NEVER request credit card numbers, bank account information, gift cards, or other personal financial information over the phone.
• Official jury summonses are delivered by mail, and anything issued by the Court will be served in person by the Sheriff's Office.

If you receive a suspicious call:
✅ Hang up immediately
✅ Do not provide personal or financial information
✅ Contact local law enforcement if you believe you have been targeted

Please share this information to help protect your family, friends, and neighbors from becoming victims of fraud.
