Had the privilege to help the Senior Resource Center celebrate its 18th anniversary today. What started out as an experiment to help seniors in the Southern most parts of Va Beach to stay active and socialize has been wildly successful. We are 100% volunteer and self supporting, with the city providing and maintaining the building. We have the most amazing volunteers who do everything from our programming, writing our monthly newsletter, teaching classes and desk duty. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers! Congratulations on our success and hope we will have many more years together. We were treated with a concert by Fond Memories and refreshments.

Thank you to our amazing members who provided an astounding buffet for our First Responders Luncheon on October 29th. The food and company were fantastic. Thank you to all of our first responders who came and shared their time with us. We appreciate all that you do for us 23/7.

Sorry to cancel the Mermaid Factory paint party at the SRC, but we did not have enough members signed up to avoid a studio fee.
Maybe we can try again in the spring.
