A great working day for members of VFW Post 8071! Under the leadership of Post Cdr Jannal Milich, several members came together for a day of building two carports and cleaning out two shipping containers the post uses for storage.

POST 8071 GOLF TOURNEY SET FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND!

It's time to sign-up and spread the word about the post's annual Golf Tournament set for Sept. 6 at Dayton Valley Golf Club. Please forward the information to all of your family and friends and encourage maximum participation in this sporting event that supports Veterans! Note that even non-golfers are welcome to attend and enjoy all of the fun with a companion ticket!

🇺🇸 It was truly an honor to host the Celebration of Life for CSM Alan Callanan, U.S. Army (Ret.).
We are grateful to Alan’s family and friends for allowing us to be a small part of such a meaningful day as they gathered to celebrate a life of service, dedication, and love.

Alan Callanan, CSM, US Army (Ret), passed away in the hospital yesterday due to a medical condition. Alan was surrounded by family members at the time of his passing.

Alan was an active Lifetime Member of VFW Post 8071, as well as several other Veteran organizations. Whether working at a post event, placing wreaths at the Veterans cemetery, or working with a Gold Star family, Alan embodied the VFW mission of “Serving Veterans and Community.” Alan will be missed by many.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Today at our monthly post meeting, our current VFW Post 8071 CDR Jannal Milich presented out past post CDR Phil Greaves, along with his wife, a special custom plaque honoring his tenure as post commander. Bravo Zulu Phil.
