Virginia City business owners and community members have an opportunity to provide public comment on the vendor contracts, operations management, and broader decisions affecting Virginia City and the Montana Heritage Commission (MHC).
The Economic Affairs Interim Committee of the State Legislature will hold a meeting on September 10, including an agenda item for discussion on the Department of Commerceโs actions regarding vendor contracts and overall operations management in Virginia City.
This meeting will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The Virginia City agenda item is currently scheduled to begin at approximately 2:10 p.m. in Room 152 of the State Capitol in Helena. The agenda item includes comments and statements from a panel of community representatives and the Department of Commerce, followed by public comment and legislator questions.
Members of the public may attend and provide public comment in person or remotely. Written public comment can also be submitted for the record.
