The road work on Newmansville/County Highway 2 is complete and the road is open. Thank you for your patience while crews completed the work. Use caution as some areas may contain loose gravel.

Edit!!!!!! Work will not begin until Tuesday morning.

Starting Monday August 31,2026 Newmansville Road/County Highway 2 from IL Rte 125 to Oakford Road will be getting Oil and Chipped. During the work time both lanes will be unable to be accessed. The roadway will open up at nighttime and then close again during the day. The project will last approximately 4 days depending on the weather. Please use caution when traveling through the area as it will likely contain loose gravel.

We have a missing 5 year old from North Bluffs Springs road Bluffs Springs. The juvenile is wearing neon and blue jeans. If in the area or live in the area please check around your property and notify police immediately if the child is located.

On March 12, 2026 Cass County lost one of its best. Sheriff Bob Fair dedicated his entire adult life to Cass County and its residents. As mentioned before Bob was a relentless advocate for the underdog. To show our appreciation for his dedication and service we would like to build the following memorial on the courthouse lawn. Bob would kill me if I used taxpayers funds and several have already asked to donate. So, we are requesting donations to build the memorial pictured below in memory of Bob Fair for all that he did for Cass County. Donations can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office or contact me to pick them up. Please make checks payable to Cass County Sheriff’s Office with Bob Fair memorial in the memo line. As always thank you for all of your support.
