Need to pay your child support? There are several ways you can do this!

While income withholding is the way most support is collected, there are other ways you can make a support payment. These options do not replace income withholding, but they are useful if you are self-employed, between jobs, or if you want to pay extra towards your past-due support. Whichever way you choose, all support must be paid through the WI Support Collections Trust Fund. This is not only a state law, but this is the only way you can be sure that you get credit for your payments.

During Child Support Awareness Month, the Wisconsin Child Support Program celebrates the child support professionals across the state who help engaged parents and caregivers support the well-being of their children.

Here in Vernon County, we want to acknowledge and celebrate our professionals along with those throughout the state of Wisconsin.

Our Mission: It is the mission of the Vernon County Department of Human Services Child Support Unit to build partnerships with participants and serve the children and families of Vernon County in a courteous, professional, and timely manner. The Child Support program here in Vernon County is a county, state and federal effort designed to assist families in becoming independent and remain self-sufficient by ensuring that both parents are supporting their children. We assist with establishing paternity, child support and medical support orders, enforce child support and medical support orders and locate absent parents. As a representative of the State of Wisconsin and the public interest on behalf of the children, the Vernon County Department of Human Services Child Support Unit does not represent either party.
