For residents and businesses, make sure you are tracking and documenting all damages on your properties. Coulee Cap and River 2 Ridge Disaster Resilience Group do have some funding available for residents. An application can be found here www.r2rdr.org

We're starting to sound like a broken record lately with all the severe weather potentials. Tomorrow is another day to pay close attention to.

All threats are possible again with up to an inch of rainfall.

***POST EXPIRED*** 4/26 @ 1pm: The risk for severe weather returns to the region Monday afternoon, though the bulk of the severe weather is forecast to occur south of the local area in eastern Iowa and Illinois. With the local area residing on the north side of the severe weather risk area, there is increasing uncertainty on the coverage and severity of the storms, driven by how any morning storms unfold. If conditions line up just right, there is a narrow window in the mid to late afternoon for storms to produce large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes. Bottom line, stay weather aware through the afternoon on Monday and be ready to seek indoor shelter should severe storms approach your location.

04/23/2026

While the Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains out in Eastern Minnesota for the time being there is still a chance we could see some storms in our area as the evening and overnight progress.

Pay attention to the skies, keep multiple alerts methods available, and be weather aware.

Just a reminder that anyone with storm damage from last week can call 211 to report. Residents seeking cleanup resources can contact 211 to see what is available in their community. Private citizens who would like to request cleanup help from volunteer organizations can call 211 to be listed in Crisis Cleanup.
